1. Browsing and Searching for Products
- Browse by Supplier: From the home screen, you can view suppliers and click/select a supplier to view all their listed products.

- Product Suggestions: If you've previously purchased products, these will appear as recommendations on your home page, making reordering fast and convenient.

2. Wallet Requirements Before Ordering
To ensure secure and transparent transactions, Afya X uses an in-app wallet system:
- You'll need to create a wallet when setting up your Afya X account.
- Fund your wallet through M-Pesa or bank transfer.
- Only funded wallets can be used to submit orders. If your wallet has no funds, you can still browse suppliers and products but cannot proceed to checkout.
- Your wallet balance must meet or exceed the total order amount before submission.
3. Placing an Order
The order process follows familiar e-commerce standards with healthcare-specific optimizations:
- Select Products: View a product and click Add to Cart. You can add items from multiple suppliers to a single cart.
- Review Cart: Go to the cart to confirm product quantities and suppliers.
- Checkout: Proceed to checkout where the app validates your wallet balance.
- Submit Order: Once submitted, funds equal to the order amount are reversed in your wallet. These funds are not accessible until the order is fulfilled or cancelled.
4. Order Fulfillment and Wallet Updates
- Order Fulfilled: When a supplier fulfills the order and it is confirmed, the reserved funds are transferred to the supplier's account.
- Order Not Fulfilled / Delayed: If the supplier does not fulfill the order within the set turnaround time (TAT), funds are returned to your wallet automatically.
- Transparency: At every stage, the app ensures both buyers and sellers have clear visibility into order and payment statuses.
5. Tracking Your Orders
- Navigate to the Orders Menu to view your current and past orders.
- Each order displays its status (e.g., Pending, Fulfilled, Cancelled, Returned).
